Ok so I have a friend who’s been in a relationship for a while – you know one of those relationships where you don’t feel butterflies anymore but it’s familiar so you stay?
Right, one of those. So she calls me from time to time telling me how she feels like she can do better than in the same breath, tells me she feels like she should be loyal, and that she doesn’t want to throw all of those years away.
Me: “You’re not married. You don’t have to stay in a relationship that’s run its course.”
Friend: “You’re right. I’ll move on when the time is right.”
Me: Oh ok, then. *side eye*
Sound familiar? Do you have a friend who knows better but refuses to do better?
Btw she’s talking about her job not her man.
Sometimes having more and doing better isn’t a matter of what we know. It’s a matter of what we do.
That’s what I love about Search to Salary (my LIVE 4-week program that will teach you how to land a better job and a bigger salary) because it shows you step by step how to do something to change your current work situation… from job search to interviewing to negotiating.
